An 11-day adventure around Iceland—a small-group expedition format where comfortable logistics meet the island's wild nature. Along the Ring Road, we explore 50+ locations: waterfalls and canyons, glaciers and lagoons, volcanic plateaus and lava fields, black beaches, basalt shores, and northern fjords. Each day brings a new region, the best photo spots, and a route designed to maximize your experience without rushing or fuss.
TOUR PROGRAM
Airport transfer
DAY 1
Depending on your arrival time, transfer from Keflavik Airport to your cottages. Walk along the Keflavik promenade to the lupine fields on the cliff face.
Reykjanes and Snaefellsnes Peninsulas
DAY 2
Valahnúkamöl cliffs and lighthouse. Stop at the bridge connecting the continents.
Next, we'll take a four-hour drive to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where we'll see seals and fur seals and check into an apartment with an ocean view.
The road along the passes to Akueri
DAY 3
A seven-hour drive to Iceland's northern capital. Along the way, we'll visit Iceland's signature mountain and waterfall, Kirkjufell. We'll explore the powerful flow of Selvallafoss. We'll then drive through deserted mountain passes and the Kolugljúfur canyon. We'll admire the natural wonder of Hvítserkur. We'll end the day in Iceland's northernmost city, on the Eyjafjörður fjord.
Whale safari and Myvatn
DAY 4
In the morning, we'll set off on a whale safari, heading out into the Arctic Ocean. We'll return to our apartment for lunch, and then head to the Myvatn geothermal area, where we'll walk through steaming soil, explore a cave with a hot lake, and see pseudocraters and a sulfur lake.
Dettifoss and Selfoss waterfalls, canyon - Stuðlagil
DAY 5
A trek past Europe's most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss, with a visit to Selfoss. Afterward, we'll head to Stuðlagil, a canyon with basalt craters, where we'll slow down and enjoy the tranquility and incredible beauty of the turquoise water.
Eastern fjords and waterfalls
DAY 6
Next we move on to the east of Iceland, where the hidden Skutafoss waterfall, a black beach and the beautiful Hvalnes mountain range await us, as well as several waterfalls along the way.
Glaciers and icebergs of Jökulsárlón
DAY 7
On this day, we'll enter the realm of ice, see the Jökulsárlón glacier, icebergs drifting across the lagoon, and the volcanic beach of Diamont Beach, strewn with transparent ice floes calved from the icebergs and glacier.
Afterwards, we'll head towards the Golden Circle.
Reynesfjara Beach, Dead Ends, and Cliffs
DAY 8
This day will include a visit to Reynesfjara beach with its basalt columns, Durholey Cliff with the cutest birds - puffins, in their natural habitat, Kvernufoss waterfall, and we will also approach the Black Glacier at the foot of the Katla volcano.
The Golden Ring
DAY 9
Iceland's most visited sites, Gulfoss Falls, a visit to the active Geyser geyser and a secret waterfall, reached through a green canyon.
Landmannalaugar
DAY 10
The multicolored rialite cliffs of the Landmannalaugar volcanic region. A long off-road drive awaits us, followed by a full day of enjoying Iceland's pearly landscape, hot rivers for swimming, and hiking through the most incredible place on the planet.
The capital of Iceland is Reykjavik
DAY 11
Depending on your departure time, we'll visit Reykjavik and, if desired, visit the Sky Lagoon thermal pools in the rock formations overlooking the ocean.
